Craig Hospital Day 1

Right on cue, Noah was transferred  from LAH to Craig Hospital. He was shuttled by Ambulance – this time a more enjoyable ride – and settled into his room.  His first visitors were Cousin Gabriella, Ron, the handler, and Nelson, a therapy dog who makes weekly appearances.

Already he is more engaged and requires less medications, though as expected, he tires easily.  He was visited by Dr. Weintraub and all three therapists. This afternoon, he was fitted for a wheelchair and now can cruise along the halls (he uses his feet to push him since his right arm is out of commission). Thomas and I start our own training tomorrow. We’ll work on “seizure training” to get cleared to take Noah  throughout the hospital and eventually outside.  Starting Tuesday, Noah will have an hour each day of physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Watch out world, here I come…
